Lu and Danny met through Jovie, Danny's cousin, years ago! They really got to know each other after attending a Bachata Convention in 2021. They thought it was a regular festival, but it turned out to be a full on professional bachata dancers weekend in Miami lol. About a week or so after that Lu and Danny went on their first date. They met in Bayside Miami for an activity and dinner. They rode the Skyviews Miami Observation Wheel and then had lobster rolls at a nearby restaurant. Lu knew she was going to be a little nervous so she brought a polaroid camera and an engaging game for them to play. Danny had to take a picture with someone he would take on vacation (you would think he would have asked me for a photo lol). But instead he found a Pomeranian that looked like a mini panda. They ended the night by renting electric scooters and riding down Biscayne Ave. The ride ended up being a race, one that Lu won! -- The next day both Lu and Danny vented to Jovie about how terrible we thought the date went lol because they both felt so nervous. It wasn't until a couple weeks later that Lu invited Danny to a beach day and that's the day they really hit it off. They continued to see each other until they eventually moved in together.
